Plant Care
- Place in bright, indirect light for the best growth and leaf colour. Tolerates lower light conditions, though growth may slow.
- Water when the top few centimetres of compost have dried out. Reduce watering in autumn and winter.
- Avoid overwatering and ensure the pot has adequate drainage to prevent waterlogged roots.
- Wipe the large leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to remove dust and help the plant photosynthesise efficiently.
- Feed with a balanced liquid houseplant fertiliser once a month during spring and summer.
- Prefers average room temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. Avoid cold draughts and sudden temperature changes.
- Mist occasionally or place on a pebble tray to increase humidity, though this plant is tolerant of normal household humidity levels.
